astrum MAT

Astrum MAT is a group of special education facilities based in Essex. The Trust was formed in 2017 and caters for pupils with a range of Severe and Complex Special Educational Needs across the London Borough of Redbridge and beyond.  They are an organisation with 2 schools- Newbridge Lower School- Gresham Drive and Newbridge Upper School- Barley Lane. Both schools have been rated as outstanding for the past 10 years. They are also in the pre-opening phase of the new special Early Years and Key Stage 1 school-  Hatchside School. This has a planned opening date of Spring 2021.


Artwork Media were brought in during the height of Covid restrictions to help assist with the recruitment drive for the trust's latest Academy, Hatchside School. The aim was to showcase the existing schools using an interactive HTML based Virtual Tour which allowed prospective teachers and also students, parents & carers to view the main features of the schools in a convenient and safe way.

Using panoramic photography, drone footage and embed media such as videos and photos meant that visitors could get a feel for the schools and having the tour online and available 24 hours a day has allowed viewers to visit at their own convenience.
